Both normal breast tissue and breast cancer specimens are available from ATS.
Normal breast tissue is available from subjects who do not have cancer.
Additionally, normal breast tissue is available from subjects who undergo surgical intervention for breast cancer. Normal breast tissue samples are available to correlate with the breast tumor specimen from the same patient and can be procured from adjacent to the tumor site, or in some cases, from the contralateral breast.
